General
Everything on this site is published for general information. We work to get it right, we cite the sources we used, and we correct what we get wrong, but we cannot guarantee that every statement is accurate, complete or current at the moment you read it. Use your own judgement, and where the stakes are real, get advice from someone who can see your specific situation.
No professional relationship
Reading this site does not create a professional relationship of any kind between you and GolfBillow. We do not know your circumstances, and nothing here is tailored to them.
Rules of Golf
We explain the Rules of Golf and the Equipment Rules as published by the USGA and The R&A. Nothing here is an official ruling. A Committee can adopt Local Rules that change what is permitted at a given course or competition, so the card in your hand and your Committee's decision always outrank anything written on this site. For a ruling that affects a score, ask your Committee or a rules official.
Equipment conformity
Whether a specific club or ball conforms is determined by the official Conforming Club and Ball Lists, which change. We do not certify equipment and we do not maintain those lists. Check the current list before a competition.

We link to other sites when they are the better source, usually because they are the primary authority on a point. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, their accuracy, or what happens after you leave here.
Limitation
To the extent permitted by law, GolfBillow is not liable for loss or damage arising from action taken, or not taken, on the basis of anything published here. That is the standard clause every publisher carries, and it exists because we genuinely cannot foresee how a general article will meet a specific situation.
Getting it wrong
